Brief: 'To create a prairie garden with a contemporary twist. Birds, bees and butterflies are important guests to the garden. Two dining areas to maximise the natural light in the garden and one covered sofa seating area. These are to be lit of an evening along with other features in the garden. Keen to explore the options available for defining the boundary lines. There are no restrictions regarding future maintenance of the garden. Colour palette: No bright yellows. Pale yellows are fine along with pinks, purples and whites. To proportion the three main elements of a garden - hard landscaping, divide landscaping and lawn - approximately by equal thirds.'
Our first design meeting with Matthew was a delight – he had certainly listened to our brief, our likes and dislikes and gauged our characters in the design. We loved the basic outline of the design and after a few design meetings and minor alterations the sketches were sent to be drawn up on CAD by one of the team. The results are the hugely impressive garden we now enjoy.
We quickly became impressed by the skills and attention to detail shown by the landscape team. We are so happy with the end result it is hard to convey that in writing but Matthew, Ryan and the teams we had working for us were amazing. They all have a great sense of passion and ownership about their work. The craftmanship of some of the hand built wooden structures is amazing and the choices of plants is perfect.
