Matthew Dawson
Founder | Director
Matthew Dawson is a Horticulturalist with an ethereal vision, his work is instinctive, poetic and honest. Matthew founded County Garden Management in 2007 to bring the practices of design, horticulture, landscaping and consultancy together into one management sphere.
Matthew leads on the design, direction, and development of County Garden Management; working closely and collaboratively with over 20 highly-skilled horticulturists and landscapers. Matthew approaches each project with detailed structure, artistic thought, and an ability to finely understand the needs of both the client and project; resulting in a garden to be enjoyed and loved through the unfolding seasons and textures of time.
A recent professional highlight for Matthew has been seeing County Garden Management awarded ‘Best in Category 2020 - Domestic & Maintenance’ for their garden ‘Rough Hill’ in Essex - at the Annual Association of Professional Landscapers Awards in London. Following upon their success, County Garden Management have been named finalists for the Association of Professional Landscapers 2021 Awards for their gardens: ‘Danbury Palace - Commercial & Maintenance Garden’ and ‘The Windmill - Landscape project Value Over 175k'.
